Hey fellow HH Porch members,
As many of you know, our dear friend Jenny is facing a major challenge with her housing situation. Her landlord is planning to sell the house that Jenny and her kids have been renting, within the next few years. Jenny is already looking for her next house, but because of dings to her credit score that are NO fault of her own, she is very worried that banks will not lend to her. So -- again as many of you know, some of us decided to take matters into our own hands, and raise the money to help Jenny afford that new house!
You all probably know that Jenny absolutely hates asking for help. She confirmed that when I asked her if she would let us do the honor of this fundraiser for her. But again as we know...she never asked, we offered to do this and are honored to be able to help our dear friend however we can.
As one of you said, "If every one of us chipped in $5, as if we were buying Jenny a coffee, we could raise the money she needs in no time!" So -- those of you who are in a position to donate, will you please give $5, or whatever amount you're comfortable with? We may not ultimately raise the entire price of a house, but we will at least raise enough to give Jenny a down payment...and hopefully more!
