I am hosting a Ukrainian refugee family, who arrived in the US late June.
Viktoriia is busy rebuilding she and her kids’ life here in the US, while her husband stayed in Ukraine. Per Ukrainian law, men with fewer than three children cannot leave, in case they are needed for draft. Viktoriia’s family lived just outside Kyiv.
She is getting her two kids ready to start school, and preparing for the arrival of their third child in December.
Her most pressing need is having a vehicle, so she can drive kids to/from school, attend doctors (and future baby) appointments, grocery store trips, and have general flexibility.
Any additional funds would be used for baby and kid items, as well as to find independent living (an apartment), as the family currently live with me, until they can afford otherwise.
