The Allen Bock High School Baseball Drive 24-25

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chris Lam and I'm honored to help kick off the 4th annual Allen Bock Memorial High School Baseball Drive. The fundraiser will end on December 9, 2024. The baseball drive was started to honor/memorialize Allen's passion for helping kids and high school baseball programs in our area. For those of you who did not know Allen, we lost him in the fall of 2021. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, friend, and coach in the Fredericksburg area. As many of you know, Allen helped bring Stars Baseball to the Fredericksburg area. As his oldest players were entering high school, Allen would take baseballs to the local schools to help those programs out. Allen viewed this as a way to continue growing the game of baseball in our area. As I mourned his passing, I wanted to honor him and continue his legacy and charity work in our area. I thought what better way then to call on his family, friends, and our fantastic baseball community to help raise money for brand new baseballs for our local high schools to practice with.

Over the first 3 years we have grown our donations to 18 local high schools. We donate to all Spotsylvania and Stafford high schools. King George, Colonial Beach, James Monroe, FCS, and Caroline High School all have been recipients of donations. Our newest additions last year were Culpeper and Eastern View high schools which allowed us to cover every school in the Battlefield District and the Commonwealth District. Potomac High Baseball where Allen played his high school ball is also a recipient of equipment each year. In the first 3 years we have donated over 5,000 baseballs to our local schools. Think about that number for a second! We have also donated ball buckets, hitting tees, and custom fungo bats as well. Last year, Allen's daughter Harper designed the custom AB22 fungo that each school received. Every coach and program were beyond appreciative of the donations to their programs. Coach Dan Sweeney (Allens father in law) and I also try and share a positive message and tell them about Allen as we meet with the teams.

This fundraiser has been a success because of all of you! Your donations and charity go to a great cause which I know Allen is loving and smiling down upon all of us. Please consider making a donation and sharing with your family and friends. Also feel free to share this on your social media pages. Every dollar we raise counts towards helping these programs getting baseballs and equipment.

Sincerely,

Chris Lam
