This morning, without warning God called Kendra Remlinger home to him. While she is now at peace, the void she left behind cannot be filled and we are just beginning to put some of the pieces back together.
First and foremost, Kendra was a fiercely devoted mother to her children Quinn and Delaney as well as a true companion to her husband Brian. She was the leader of their clan and served as their advocate, protector, social coordinator, coach, scheduler and home maker. No task was too big or too small for her to handle when it came to the happiness of her family and she faced each new challenge with her “can-do” attitude that so many came to know her for. While her immediate family was small, she was a Super Mom to her extended family, most of all the members of the New Jersey Heat. Her dedication to NJ Heat was evident in everything she did and the games will never be the same without her larger than life presence.
Perhaps most know her best as the kind woman they were greeted by when it came time to drop their child at school for the very first time. For over twenty years at Junior Junction and then Atlantis Prep Kendra helped first time mothers let go of their child’s hand and into Kendra’s classroom. Her assurances always allowed them to walk away with a few less tears, and the confidence that their child would be ok in the hours without them. She was a beloved teacher to all who came through her classrooms and she truly cared about every one of her students.
Kendra was so many things to so many people; mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. No matter how you knew her, she most assuredly had an impact on you and/or your child. Now we are asking for your help for her children. We are trying to both ease the burden of the medical financial struggles and help set Quinn and Delaney up for a future that includes higher education. If you are, in any capacity, able to contribute our family would be so grateful, as would Kendra. She helped so many in her short life and we are hoping we can return the favor now.
