Support Amy June's Human Rights Gala

Donation protected
UPDATE: All donations will now go to the three human rights organizations!
Artists have been paid.

Hello everyone! If you don’t know me already, my name is Amy June. I’m a local actor, writer, dancer, and activist in Brooklyn.

Help me raise money for a human rights fundraiser show I’m putting on at C’mon Everybody on August 10th, 2025! The purpose of this GoFundMe is to raise money to help pay the performing artists and all involved in the production of this important show.

The format of the performance will be reminiscent of a variety show showcasing various performing artists with a focus on community action, directing forces toward three human rights organizations: The Immigrant Defense Project, the IfWhenHow Repro Legal Defense Fund, and the Audre Lorde Project. These organizations offer defense support and advocate for policies encompassing immigration rights, reproductive rights, and trans rights respectively. 70% of the ticket sales will be split evenly between these three organizations while the other 30% will be supporting an LGBTQ+ owned venue and its likewise identifying employees. The show is entitled Protecta Trifecta. “Trifecta” because we are raising money to donate to three human rights organizations and “Protecta” because these rights are under fire and need protecting!

Once we raise the money to pay the artists, any money that exceeds the goal will be split evenly between the three organizations in addition to the ticket sales!

Now for the artists who you will be supporting with your donation!

First President of Japan

This is what happens when a clown starts a punk band. First President of Japan is a Brooklyn based band that'll jolt you awake. Pleasure and nonsense forward with existential crises peeking through the cracks, all entangled in glitzy guitar riffs that get you moving. A chaotic DIY explosion that you need to see live.

Granite Garden

With the sensitivity of an old soul but caked in the grime of grunge, Granite Garden is a diamond in the rough. Their sound harmonizes the garishness and theatricality of rock n’ roll with the sensitivity and tact of folk and jazz. Each musician brings their own unique kick to GG’s palette.
They made a profound introduction to the world this year with their recent release of their debut album also entitled “Granite Garden.”

Their work unearths stories of transformation and vulnerability through a bold fusion of trip pop, electronic, and performance-driven soundscapes. ÅNGEL 004 creates immersive worlds that live at the intersection of identity, storytelling, and movement.

Bad Boy & the Badboiz

An experimental dance group that plays with elements of theatrics delving into burlesque and fosse-style choreography. They also play with moving together as a group unit, creating otherworldly animal-like locomotives. Playfulness is at the forefront of their creative process!
