Sky Island Farm CSA Shares For Families In Need

Hello! Sky Island Farm is a small farm located in Humptulips, WA located on the Olympic Peninsula. We grow a diverse variety of vegetables that we sell and donate in various ways either through our CSA Home Delivery Program, stores, restaurants, food banks, and Community Fridges. We have been giving away a handful of shares to folks in need since the beginning of the farm, but in the last two years, we thought why not make a bigger impact and offer more subsidized shares to folks that are on a budget, homebound, houseless, etc. We want to help you the donor realize that these subsidized shares have a huge impact on our community members' lives. It means a consistent food source for at least 3-4 months as well as helping folks improve their diets if they could not do so before. It's a great feeling when you see the joy on their face and relief that they don't have to worry about their vegetable source is! Inflation unfortunately is also a driving force that is reducing folks food budgets and one of the first things to go is vegetables because they are not dense foods usually that fill you up, BUT are so necessary to a healthy diet!

We are looking to fundraise for 12 shares this year! That means we have to raise $5040 in order to do so! Your contributions big or small will help tremendously to get more food to folks who don't have access.
