Help Bring Christmas to Three Local Families in Need
This year, I’m raising funds to support three local families who are very close to my heart. Each of them is facing difficult circumstances, and with the holiday season here, I’m hoping our community can help bring them a little relief, stability, and joy.
Family 1: A Single Mom Starting Over
One of the families is a single mother in my own family circle who lost her job over the summer. She recently started a new position and is working hard to rebuild, but she’s starting from almost nothing. Keeping a roof over her children’s heads and maintaining transportation for work are her top priorities.
I’ve helped as much as I can personally, but resources in our area have dried up for the season. I’m hoping to help make sure her kids don’t have to go without a Christmas during this already challenging time.
Family 2: A Military Family Caught in the Gap
Another family is close friends of mine. Their household has been hit hard this year when the husband—who serves in the National Guard—was deployed for eight months. During deployment he did not receive pay from his full-time job, and the recent shutdown further delayed their income. With three young children, they’re doing everything they can to stay afloat, but the financial strain has been overwhelming.
Family 3: A Brave Teen in Foster Care
The third is a 15-year-old girl I know through our community. She is currently in foster care after losing both of her parents. Her grandfather, a retired MCFRS firefighter, passed away years ago from job-related cancer. She has faced more loss than any child should, and I would love to ensure she feels seen, supported, and remembered this holiday season.
Why I’m Asking for Help
These families are not anonymous cases—I know each of them personally. They are good people quietly carrying heavy burdens. I’m simply hoping to give them a holiday that reflects hope instead of hardship.
