My name is Anas Qdeih, a 36-year-old citizen of Gaza and a father of two children: a 6-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl.

I can no longer provide for my children and their mother. I have been suffering from the devastating consequences of the war and everything it has left behind.

I have lost everything I owned—my home, my land, and my work. I have been enduring the horrors of war for the past three years, and I still do not know how I will feed my children or even provide them with medical treatment if they become sick. The war has left us with nothing.

We lack even the most basic necessities of life. We suffer from illness, exhaustion, and constant fatigue. Because of the extremely high prices, I am unable to provide for the needs of any member of my family.

We live in a world that seems to have lost its compassion, while we continue to suffer.

The war has exhausted us. Nothing can make up for what we have lost. Everything around us has become filled with sadness. We have lost so much. Fear, loss, hunger, and illness have deeply wounded our hearts.

I am asking compassionate people to look upon us with mercy, to feel our suffering, and to help us if they can.
