This is Jacob and his lovely family. Missing is the addition of another little one that was born late in 2022. They live and work in our small community in Cartier. He is a hard worker, a great father and husband, a loving son and brother who sends money home whenever he can, a church-goer, a cheerful and happy co-worker and the sole breadwinner for his family.

Jacob recently found out that his father's pacemaker is failing and is currently intubated in ICU in a Filipino hospital. The doctors have said his condition is fatal. Jacob is needed there to help with end-of-life and funeral plans and fees, as well as to have a final opportunity to see his father.

Jacob was able to get a loan to fly out for his father and family. It cost him $3100.

The current hospital fees are approx $1500 and rise daily.

He still needs to maintain bills and expenses for his family at home that will not be covered in his time away from work.

I have known what it is to need and to be needed financially; and the heartache and drain of losing a loved one. I have known loss, I have known financial distress.

But I have also known the kindness of others. I have been treated with generosity in a time I needed it most, and so I feel compelled to pay forward those kindnesses that I have been afforded in the past and hope that anyone out there will be willing to do the same for this man and his family in their time of need and sorrow and sadness.

Anything you can donate will go towards paying off his loan, supporting his family in Elie financially while he is away, and helping to make up lost wages.
