Overcoming Sex Trafficking-Philippines

Thank you for visiting my page and for your consideration in helping me to make a difference in the Philippines.

From May 26th to June 9th I will be partnering with an organization called Wipe Every Tear whose mission is to make a real and lasting impact to those in the sex trade who have lost hope. More information about the organization can be found at http://www.wipeeverytear.org/

The purpose of this trip will be to connect with many precious girls working in the sex industry and then invite these girls as well as the girls living in the safe house for sex trafficking victims to a retreat getaway where they will be loved upon and unconditionally accepted! I am thrilled about the opportunity to come in contact with thousands of girls and work specifically with a group of about 100 girls for 244 hours. Every girl matter and each girl will be given the opportunity to participate in various educational and physical activities. I strongly believe that through these activities each girls will feel empowered and will find the courage to continue in their healing journey. We have a full plan of what we will be doing, but this plan absolutely includes time for God to interrupt our plans and do exactly what HE wants!

I fully expect this trip to be life-changing for both myself and the girls in which we interact with. The best way to describe the goal of the trip is perhaps by simply sharing what my husband wrote recently "As many of you know my wife has will be traveling to the Philippines in about a month to work with the victims of the sex industry there (more info here: http://bit.ly/1fhE4pC) so it has been on my mind a lot, and then a song on Pandora really connected how much of an impact she could have there. (Song Here: http://bit.ly/RGote6)

These girls have been used as objects and abused, they deal with some of the worst things humanity can do to someone. This can leave them broken and feeling like they have no value as a person. Not only have they suffered and been broken, they can think they will always be unwanted and unloved.

I often have a hard time describing what my wife really does when I say she "helps victims of human trafficking and the sex industry." I think I know how to say what she does now. She makes them feel loved, and shows them they are special, beautiful and in no way broken. After all, that is what I would want my sister, my daughter, or my friend to know. It doesn't matter what you've done, or what has been done to you; you are still beautiful, special, and loved. If just one girl know, really knows, that its not over and she had unimaginable worth, then it will be worth the effort."

For every trip that I participate in I consider my purpose in going. Having participated in many missions trips this one is unique in a variety of ways including the mission which I completely believe in as well as the fact that for the first time I absolutely need individuals and organizations to partner with me both in prayer and in financial support. I am looking for individuals to sponsor an hour of my time at $25 an hour or a full day at $350. Thank you for your consideration to be that person so that I may go where God is leading and do for one what I wish I could do for everyone!
