Myself and three good mates will be taking on the mighty 255 Triathlon at Goodwood this July as a team relay event, billed as the world’s longest single day Triathlon, consisting of a 5km lake swim, a 200km cycle, and a 50km run on the famous race circuit.

Seeing this as an opportunity to raise some cash for a worthy charity, I’ve decided to donate any funds raised to Crohn’s and Colitis UK who work hard to improve the diagnosis and treatment of the two main Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and to fund research and to raise awareness of these debilitating, incurable conditions.

My wife Charlotte has suffered from both conditions since her teenage years. It’s often at the forefront of her daily life, and always in the background.
