On 01/02/2026, my dad (Jesus Rodriguez Sr), or known to you as Jesse, unfortunately suffered a cardiac arrest while hospitalized. It took him approximately ten minutes to be successfully revived with CPR, and he was transferred to the ICU. Since then, it has been a battle. As most of you know, my dad is strong and stubborn.

However, on 01/06/2026, an MRI was conducted on his brain and unfortunately confirmed suspicions of brain damage. His cerebral part was devastatingly damaged to where he will no longer wake up. Dad had always wished if meaningful recovery was not possible, he did not want to be kept "alive" on machines. We are honoring his wishes, as well as also honoring his wish to be cremated. Right now, the estimated cost of the service and cremation is approximately $4300. We intend to use leftover funds to cover any more related expenses.
