Ballyshannon Drama Society is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of "Calendar Girls," a heartwarming and hilarious play based on the true story of a group of extraordinary women. The show will run from 1st to 4th October in the Abbey Arts Centre.
This production is more than just a play; it's a mission. All proceeds from "Calendar Girls" Go Fund Me, nightly draws and the Gala Night on the 4th October will be dedicated to incredibly worthy local causes: North West Hospice, Donegal Hospice, Donegal Cancer Bus and MacMillan Cancer Charities.
The decision to stage "Calendar Girls" was a unanimous one for the society. "The play beautifully captures the spirit of community, resilience, and finding strength in friendship, even in the face of immense grief," said John Travers, Chairperson of the Society. "The story resonates so deeply with the kind of community we have here in Ballyshannon, and it felt like the perfect vehicle to not only entertain our audiences but also to give back in a meaningful way and pay tribute to our dear friend, Rachel O'Connor who passed away late last year"
THIS GO FUND ME PAGE IS TO FACILITATE THOSE WHO WISH TO SUPPORT THESE CHARITIES AND THE MEMORY OF OUR DEAR FRIEND RACHEL BUT MAYBE CANNOT ATTEND IN PERSON.
Thank you for your incredible support x
