Help young family rebuild from house fire.
Donation protected

Dear friends, family, co-workers and compassionate strangers
On the night of January 6th, my brother and his wife, received a phone call from local police with devastating news. The family home they had just purchased on December 26th, and recently moved all their belongings on New Year’s Day was destroyed by fire. Thankfully, no one was in the house at the time and no injuries were sustained. However, the excitement and joy of finally having a place to call their own, was quickly taken away and it has been emotionally difficult on them and their two young children (a 4yo & almost 2yo)
In the previous week they were working tirelessly to complete minor renovations, painting, sanding /staining floors and replacing appliances to prepare for their upcoming move-in date of January 13th. Their dreams and plans were shattered when the fire destroyed their home.
While they do have insurance and are working diligently with their provider to secure temporary housing and basic necessities, the family has lost nearly all of their personal belongings that were moved into the house. This included lots of cherished possessions, the children's Christmas gifts, most of their clothing, legal documents, and furniture. The road ahead will be long before their home is restored and belongings replaced but they are keeping positive. In the meantime, they will need to continue to pay the mortgage on the damaged home and settle into temporary housing for a minimum of 6 months.
Though I realize these times are challenging for all, I am asking for your support. If there is any way you can assist, with a donation or by simply sharing the link to our GoFundMe campaign, it would mean a lot to Roman, Katie and their children Valentina and Isaac. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help alleviate the weight of this burden and give them hope and security .
Thank you in advance for opening your hearts and lending a helping hand during this difficult time. Sending prayers their way for a smooth transition will also be appreciated. Your kindness will forever be etched in our hearts.
With much appreciation,
