I’m reaching out today with a mix of humility and hope. For a long time, I’ve tried to carry a heavy secret: I am drowning in $73,000 of debt.

I’ve spent years trying to work my way out of this alone, but between interest rates and life’s unexpected turns, I’ve realized I can’t win this battle without a hand up. I’m asking for your help to help me unknot a financial burden that has put my entire life on hold.

Where this comes from:

My debt isn’t from a single mistake; it’s a combination of the 'perfect storm' that life sometimes brings:

• The Dream of Education ($47,000): I worked hard for my degrees in Social Work and ABA, believing it was the key to my future. While I value my education, the loans have become a mountain I can’t seem to move, with interest growing faster than I can pay.

• The Government Setback ($12,000): Recently, I was hit with a Social Security repayment bill due to an administrative error/unforeseen change. Being told I suddenly owe the government five figures has been one of the most terrifying moments of my life.

• Health & Stability ($25,000): The remainder of my debt is tied to my car, which I need to get to work every day, and essential dental work (braces) that I needed for my long-term health.

Why I’m asking for help now:

I am at a breaking point. I’m working in ABA, 40 hours but I’m no longer making progress; I’m just surviving. This debt isn't just a number on a screen; it’s the reason I can’t sleep, the reason I can't save for a home, and the reason I feel like I'm failing despite my best efforts.

How your donation helps:

My first priority is the $12,000 Social Security bill, as that is the most urgent. From there, every dollar will go toward the student loans and my essential costs.
