Medical Volunteer Trip to South Africa

Hi Friends & Family,
As I begin my clinical rotations for my final year of pharmacy school, I have decided to spend my 6 week block off volunteering in St. Lucia, South Africa on a medical service trip. While in St. Lucia, I will be spending my time educating HIV+ patients about their disease, helping a local clinic with home visits, and bringing food and nutrition education to the community.
I am excited (and a little nervous!) to be embarking on such a unique opportunity. I hope that my hard work studying over the past 5 years will help me bring a little hope and education to a community that needs it!
