✊ 805 Strong Immigrant Fund: Emergency Support for Local Families Impacted by ICE Raids

On July 10th, 2025, dozens of families in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties were torn apart when federal immigration raids swept through local agricultural operations—including at Glass House Farms in Camarillo and Carpinteria. These actions left children—some as young as toddlers—injured, alone, and traumatized, just 12 miles from our community.

We cannot look away. We are neighbors. And neighbors take care of each other.

The Crisis
Over 200 immigrants, including mothers and fathers of U.S. citizen children, were detained or disappeared without warning. Several children were found alone in their homes or on the streets. Others were placed in emergency custody, unsure whether they’ll see their parents again. In the wake of these actions, families face eviction, hunger, legal jeopardy, and emotional trauma.

This fund exists to give them what our system has not: care, dignity, and immediate support.

Where the Money Goes
100% of all donations will go to support families impacted by immigration enforcement in the 805 (Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties). Funds will be distributed in two ways:

Direct Support to Affected Families — Covering urgent needs like:
Emergency rent/housing
Food, diapers, and basic supplies
Transportation for family reunification
Legal fees and translation support
Grants to Trusted Local Organizations — Including nonprofits with experience serving undocumented and mixed-status families, such as:
805 UndocuFund
MICOP (Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project)
CAUSE (Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy)
Legal aid and immigrant defense teams
Distribution will be guided by compassion, equity, and urgency—always with consent from legal guardians or organizational liaisons.

This campaign is managed by Silas Fallstich, a local resident and advocate based near Santa Barbara, CA.

Publish a public accounting report of how donations are used
If needed, we will transition funds to a fiscal sponsor or nonprofit partner to ensure full compliance.

Why We Need You
This isn't a national headline. It’s a local emergency. These are our neighbors, our fieldworkers, and our children’s classmates. We can’t undo the trauma these families are experiencing, but we can stand in solidarity—and act now.

Every dollar sends a message: You are not alone. We see you. We’re here.

Please donate. Please share. Help us build a stronger, more compassionate 805.

With gratitude and action,
