Hi my name is Oscar and I’m Going to Uganda with Edukid – And I Need Your Help Please!

I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Uganda with the charity Edukid, and I’m asking for your support to help make it happen.

In Uganda, education is not free. A key challenge that families living in poverty face is a lack of money to pay school fees. As a result, many children experience interruptions in their education, with some never having the opportunity to attend school at all.

To overcome these challenges, Edukid supports these children by covering their school fees and providing them with uniforms and school materials. By removing this financial burden, we allow these children to fully focus on their education, without any obstacles.

Edukid works with children living in poverty and conflict-affected areas, helping them access education and a better future. During this trip, I’ll not only learn firsthand about the challenges young people face in Uganda, but I’ll also be actively involved in supporting the projects that make a real difference.

While I’m there, I’ll be:

• Visiting schools and meeting the amazing children Edukid supports

• Taking part in lessons and activities with them

• Helping run workshops and sessions that encourage learning and creativity

• Learning about the realities of life in Uganda and hearing the children’s personal stories

This isn’t a holiday – it’s a chance to connect, to understand, and to support. I’ll be part of a programme that promotes compassion, education, and global understanding. What I see and do in Uganda will stay with me for life – and I hope it will inspire others too.

I need to raise £800 to contribute towards the cost of the trip. This will help cover essential expenses like travel, accommodation, and resources for the programme. Every donation – no matter how small – brings me closer to making this meaningful journey and being part of something truly impactful.

Thank you for supporting me
