In December 2024, Chris Sughrue was in the hospital being treated for a kidney infection. On 12/27/24, while a nurse was assisting him with a shower, he collapsed with a massive stroke and received immediate treatment. He is now left with aphasia and apraxia, which is affecting his speech and cognition. He is unable to communicate via written or verbal speech. He is in a rehab facility currently receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy. He also still has ongoing bladder and kidney issues.
We are looking for help with his current bills (rent, attorney fees, etc.) and support for medical and safety needs for when he returns home. We appreciate all the help he has received so far, but we as a family have reached the limits of what we are able to provide and are looking for help from his extended family of friends and loved ones. Thank you for partnering with us to help our dad during this trying time.
