Hi! My name is Heather and I am a volunteer serving my local children in foster care- testifying on behalf of abused and neglected kids. Anyone who knows me, knows T. She was my first “child” and holds a very special place in my heart. Last November, the state told her she would not be able to live in her foster home any longer- due to the state of the home and hazards, her foster home was not getting the licensed renewed.

with the help of all of my loving family and friends and an Amazon wishlist we were able to get her a SAFE and furnished apartment. The state didn’t help her with one cent until May, they provided her a gift card which she used to purchase groceries and gas.

T has worked 2 jobs clocking 70-80 hours a week to provide for herself. She has lost her transportation as it was very unreliable. It was deemed unsafe and she was not able to get another inspection completed. Her axel had rusted and cracked..Forcing her to pay Ubers or taxis, I was driving 30 minutes to pick her up and then driving 30 minutes home- and returning to pick her up and take her home. She started searching for jobs within walking distance, she ended up losing her jobs because she could not afford the Ubers, car repairs and her bills & neither job could accommodate shifting her times to allow me to be able to try and help her also.

that’s where this go fund me comes into play- she has worked HARD to get where she is, she has NO IDEA I am doing this.

her rent is 2,000$ a month. She has 4 interviews this week, and once school starts she will be a bus aide, and ultimately is trying to get her CDL to drive the school buses as that income is substantially more and would allow for one job instead of two. But, she has been about 10 days without any income. I went to her apartment today, and found oatmeal in a pantry, and some yogurts in the fridge. You know what she asked me for? To borrow my computer and printer to get classes complete so she could qualify for another job. Not a penny, not food, nothing- just trying to get requirements done. I want to do this for her, and help her. She deserves all the good things in this world, and absolutely to go to bed with a full stomach. Now did I let her go without food? Absolutely not. But I want to be able to do more and stay within the constraints of being her CASA.

if you can help, or share, it really would be such a blessing.

thank you so much, it means the world to me, and to my girl.
