My dad was detained on MLK Day at an ICE checkpoint, despite having a valid work permit that allows him to work legally in the United States. Since that day, my family has been going through difficult and uncertain times.
My mom is currently working with an immigration lawyer to fight his case and bring him home, but the legal fees are overwhelming. Without financial help, continuing this process will be extremely difficult.
My dad has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and has always been the main provider for his family. He supports my mom and younger siblings, who depend on him emotionally and financially. His detention has left my family struggling to cover basic needs while also facing mounting legal costs.
I am the oldest son and am currently in college, no longer living at home, but I'm doing what I can to support my mom and siblings during this difficult time. I am raising money to help cover my dad's legal fees so he can go to court and have a chance to be released and reunited with out family.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference. If you're unable to donate, sharing out story also means so much. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
