This past Friday(7/9) 11mo Kooper underwent a routine surgery for his recently diagnosed Hirschsprung’s disease. Unfortunately, his recovery has been everything but routine. After struggling to maintain his o2 levels he was transferred to the ICU where things continued to go downhill. As of yesterday, 7/11, Kooper was placed on ECMO in hopes to let his body rest while it fights sepsis and a severe blood infection. What was suppose to be a 3-4 night hospital stay has turned into Kooper fighting for his life and an unknown amount of time in the hospital. Thankfully, his father is an active duty service member so insurance will cover most medical costs. His mother, Molly, works for local CPS helping children in the community. With the turn of events, it is also unknown when Molly will be able to return to work. That being said, it is our time to help this incredible family. Please consider donating what you can to help take a little stress off this family and help cover their household bills and any other unexpected expenses that may arise.
