2022 Holiday Appeal for First Step

Since 1985, First Step has faithfully provided safety, shelter and services to victims of domestic violence in Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties. It is the ONLY emergency shelter serving the Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot areas.

Recent statistics reflect an increase in domestic violence situations since the pandemic. Here at First Step, we are seeing a record number of cases with clients reporting an increase in the severity of violence and needing a longer stay at the shelter. Our staff and board members have worked diligently to maintain all of our services during these challenging times and remain committed to serving those who need it most.
