For the past six years, teacher candidates in the Early Years Service Learning course at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Education have been organizing a beloved community tradition — the Early Years Carousel.

This free, half-day event welcomes children aged 4–8 and their families from across the Windsor-Essex area to engage in play-based learning activities designed to spark creativity, exploration, and connection.

Each activity is thoughtfully created and facilitated by teacher candidates who are passionate about supporting early learning and family engagement. In addition to the hands-on learning stations, the event also connects families with local community agencies and businesses that provide valuable resources and supports for families in our region.

Our Mission:

To create a meaningful, engaging and inclusive space where children and families can learn, play, and connect while raising awareness of the many supports available in Windsor-Essex.
