Getting by with a little help from my friends

I would just like to start by saying that this is not a proud moment for me and it took a lot for me to even put this together. Some of you may know that I unfortunately lost my job a few months back. I was let go one month shy of my 10 year anniversary with the company. Being let go after that amount of loyalty and time with a company didn't really do any favors to my headspace.

The months since this event have been some of the most difficult months of my life. From trying to rely on unemployment and not getting a check for a month after my termination, to being denied for the following 5 weeks due to an eligibility issue. At first, I was confident that I would be okay with unemployment and it also being tax time, but I was sorely mistaken. For the first time in my life since becoming a father, my taxes got messed up and were denied due to a mistake made on Leland's tax returns. As I sit here on June 22nd, I still have not received them.

I have been relentlessly sending my resume out to local companies to either receive not a single response or to have a phone interview and then crickets from there on. This time in my life has gotten me to a point of some pretty deep depression, but I am trying to stay positive and have faith in myself and the person that I know that I am and hope that it will all turn around if I just keep hope!

With all of that being said, the reason that I am making this GoFundMe is because I have currently fallen two months behind on my rent and I am drowning in other bills. I absolutely hate asking anyone for help but I am currently at the point of facing eviction and ending up homeless if I don't ask for help. I understand that this isn't a natural disaster or anything like that but I would also never wish these past few months on my worst enemy. I appreciate you taking the time to read all of this and just want to thank you all for being there and supporting me in life in even the most minuscule of ways. I appreciate and love you all. Thanks.
