PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity

Hello! Most of you already know but this April I am embarking on a trip of a lifetime. I am going to be challenging myself to climb up 5,500m to just beyond Everest Base Camp in Nepal to raise awareness and desperately needed funding for a Suicide Prevention Charity (PIPs).

PIPS help individuals, families and organisations who have been affected by suicide or mental un-wellness and they do this by providing support and counselling service for individuals to understand themselves and to better navigate their personal path in life.

As you can see I have attached some of the photos from the many training hikes I have been completing along with putting my running shoes back on to increase my cardiovascular fitness in order to help with the climb!

Along with a team of others, I will be embarking along this journey from Kathmandu, Nepal. The trek will take around 8 days to reach Base Camp (13 days in total up and down) with the assistance of the professional Napalese guides and staying with locals along the way.

We will be exposed to extreme weather conditions reaching -20 degrees celsius and very high altitudes.

This expedition will be extremely physically and mentally challenging so raising money for a worthwhile cause will help push me to get through the tough but rewarding 13 days!

I am very grateful to be in a position to take part in this journey and would be super grateful if we could raise some money for a very valuable charity in the process.
