On the 1st February 2022, our best mate and brother, Benjamin Jakes, tragically took his own life. At just 27 years old, Ben had his whole life in front of him, a beautiful wife, daughter and an array of family and friends who loved him dearly.

 

The pain for us will never go away, things will never seem to make sense, and our lives will never be the same again.

 

Ben thought the absolute world of his daughter, Alva, and we know he would want the best upbringing possible for her. We wanted to do something in Ben's memory but also to raise as much money for the people who need it the most.

 

For Alva, to give her the best support we can as she grows up without her Daddy and best friend, and for Papyrus charity. A UK charity dedicated to preventing suicide, promoting positive mental health and emotional well-being in young people. To save and support as many young people's lives as possible with this disease.

 

 

His legacy will live on forever...

 

 

 

 

This September, me and a few of his close friends and family will be running 27 miles to celebrate each year of his truly remarkable life. It'll be a route designed to pass significant moments of his life, eventually finishing at his Mum and Dad's, where he created many unforgettable memories with his family.
