On Friday September 26, my best friend suffered a stroke. As of now he is stable and partial recovery is looking better.

The odds of him regaining full control of his right side are not looking good at this point. He is alive, so that is all that matters to me.

Anyone who knows George, knows he would give the shirt off his back, or his last $2.00 to anyone who needed it.

He has had some setbacks the last several years so he has been living with my boyfriend and I. He is a great help around the house since my boyfriend is waiting to get an OK from his doctor for a hip replacement.

Our hope is that someday he will be able to come back home. If need be, we can turn one of our downstairs rooms into a bedroom for him on the first floor.

I know he always hated/had a fear of hospitals and doctors and I know this is the last place he wants to be but he assured me with a squeeze of the hand that he is OK with it.

He recently lost his job from Albright College due to downsizing, so he has no medical insurance. He is only 9 months away from getting Medicare.

Anything you can give to help with things he may need on his journey to recovery would be greatly appreciated.

He never liked to ask for things, so I am doing this for him.

He would absolutely do this for me or anyone else who needed help.

He has always been a giver.
