<div>On Friday September 26, my best friend suffered a stroke.  As of now he is stable and partial recovery is looking better.

<div>The odds of him regaining full control of his right side are not looking good at this point.  He is alive, so that is all that matters to me.

<div>Anyone who knows George, knows he would give the shirt off his back, or his last $2.00 to anyone who needed it.

<div>He has had some setbacks the last several years so he has been living with my boyfriend and I.  He is a great help around the house since my boyfriend is waiting to get an OK from his doctor for a hip replacement.

<div>Our hope is that someday he will be able to come back home.  If need be, we can turn one of our downstairs rooms into a bedroom for him on the first floor.

<div>I know he always hated/had a fear of hospitals and doctors and I know this is the last place he wants to be but he assured me with a squeeze of the hand that he is OK with it.

<div>He recently lost his job from Albright College due to downsizing, so he has no medical insurance. He is only 9 months away from getting Medicare.
