My name is Lucy Hazlett and in July 2025 I will be travelling with my school, St Patrick’s College Maghera, to Tanzania in Africa for voluntary work. This project is in memory of Ciara McLaughlin who passed away tragically in 2005. Just before Ciaras passing she attended a retreat where she wrote a prayer. One specific line from this prayer stood out “I believe that everything happens for a reason even though it is so hard at times. I believe that any one person can make a difference and that one day with Gods help I can make a difference in the lives of people around me” Ciara continues to make a difference as there are hundreds of children getting an education in her name. Through this project we are continuing Ciaras legacy and aiming to expand and improve this school and many others to provide education for more and more children. We have been tasked with raising £2000 each for this cause. Any donation, no matter how big or small can contribute to providing children with a brighter future. Thank you
