As many of you know, the past few years have been difficult for our family. David has been unable to work due to 3 episodes of cardiac arrest and 3 subsequent surgeries. He lost his career as a welder, fabricator, mechanic, and muscle car builder in 2022.
As a teacher, I am the sole provider for the family since David does not qualify for government disability because I "make too much money." However, my salary only goes so far. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2023. Due to treatments and surgeries, I have had to take time off without pay.
Despite tutoring, teaching summer school, and extra jobs, medical and household bills have accumulated quickly. This is due to the cancer diagnosis, surgeries, radiation, ambulance rides, med flights, and hospital stays. David and I have over $20,000 in medical bills, copays, and medication expenses that are not covered by our insurance. Each month we are short between $1200-$1500 in living expenses. It is also important to us to make sure we can maintain stability for our 14 year old daughter, Aubrey.
We continue to explore community programs and resources. We want to move past this financial crisis and create some stability. We need help to make that happen. We love our family and friends and appreciate their support. We are extremely grateful for the help they have given us. Many of you have asked how you can help, and donating any amount to this fund would be greatly appreciated. We understand many people are struggling to make ends meet so if you cannot donate, please continue to share your love and support.
David, Susie, and Aubrey Ross
