Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We truly appreciate your love, support, and prayers. We don't know what we would do without you.
Andy and I have been together for 4 years; married almost 2 years and we're hoping to raise $25,000 to begin and complete the process to have a baby through a surrogate mother. We knew immediately that we wanted to have kids, but there was always a concern. Our concern was with my kidney transplant and that there could be an issue with me carrying a baby without harm to myself or the unborn baby. I've had two kidney transplants; one in December 1986 and the second in May 1995. It's been something I've always grown up with, but always thought of in the back of my mind thought, "will I ever be able to have kids?" After we met each other, it was love-at-first-site and I knew he was the one I've always dreamed of and wanted to start a family with. We dated for a little over a year and then we go engaged. A year after being engaged, we finally became husband and wife. I immediately went to my nephorologist asking about getting pregnant where I left very upset and disappointed because I was told that the decision is up to me, but he doesn't recomend me getting pregnant because 1) its a risk for kidney failure and/or 2)danger to the baby. Well, dispite the fact of my disappointment; I thought what right-minded person would put themselves and a baby at danger if given the choice? Because we want to raise a baby together and not put anyone in harms way, the risks weren't worth it to us. We're happy together, we want to raise a family together, and we knew our dreams weren't over. Andy and I discussed our options and here we are today, 21 months after deciding that surrogacy was our option asking for your help in making our dream come true to have a family.
With all our Love and appreciation,
Thank you in advance.
