Hello, my name is Camryn Carter. I am a product of the support and resilience I’m now committed to providing others. I am a child of a domestic violence survivor and a child of a parent who struggled with addiction, and I’ve witnessed the challenges that come with these circumstances throughout my life. These experiences shaped me, and now I am dedicated to giving back.

I am an outreach for anyone in need, including children, active users, the homeless, and single mothers, who are struggling to find stability and support. Right now, our primary focus is on families and individuals affected by ICE enforcement, but our goal is to help anyone in need as we grow.

I was born and raised in Hyattsville, Maryland, a community full of strength and resilience. Yet, many local families have been deeply affected by ICE enforcement and immigration challenges, leaving many unable to work and provide for their loved ones.

That’s why I’m launching Carter Cares — a community-driven initiative that provides essential items, food, and resources directly to immigrant families and individuals who have lost work or stability due to immigration-related issues.

Our mission is simple: to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity to the people who need it most.

For the safety and privacy of the families and individuals we serve:

• Anyone affected by ICE is encouraged to email us with their name and phone number.

• We will then contact them privately to arrange the delivery of essential items to their address.

• All food or essential item donations should be coordinated through email to protect the privacy and safety of both the families and our staff.

Every donation or contribution directly supports these efforts — helping children, single parents, and vulnerable individuals in Hyattsville find relief, support, and hope.

Together, we can uplift our community and remind everyone that Carter Cares.
