Hi. my name is Buddy Crawford. I am fundraising to show appreciation to front-line workers during this pandemic. I have created 100 customized gift cards that say 'YOU ARE APPRECIATED' across the top and 'ANONYMOUS DONORS' across the bottom. The image on the card (there are currently two cards in production):

an oak leaf frozen in the ice representing strength and tenacity.

Our initial donation was $1000. The value of each card we purchased is $10.00 redeemable at Tim Hortons. The gift cards are in transit to my address. When they arrive in my mailbox, I will call HR at the Kingston Hospitals and request assistance with distribution with half of the cards and Kingston Paramedics for the second half.

My partner Rebecca is a retired ICU nurse and it breaks her heart to see other health care workers exhausted and discouraged. We are  tired of hearing about disrespectful behaviour directed towards the people we used to cheer by banging our pots and pans. With your generous donation, I will order more cards and expand the distribution to as many groups of essential workers in as many Canadian communities as will allow.
