Hello!

So most of you know me, But for those that don’t, I am Laura’s younger sister Emily Robertson.

I am starting this fundraiser for my sister Laura and her 3 children. Oliver (14),

Lilly (13), Ben (10) This would be to help alleviate Laura from the bills that kept coming in while she was sideswiped by from all these medical challenges & hurdles. My goal is to also help her in the near future as her road to recovery will be long and unpredictable.

Laura, as some of you may already know, had gone through major surgery back in November. We really haven’t updated everyone since then. It has been a long road of ups and down since her emergency operation.

The prognosis of Laura’s bilateral biopsy’s of her ovary tumors did come back positive for cancer including a few biopsy’s of lymph nodes that were close by. So she was moved from stage 2 ovarian to stage 4 of A rare breast cancer. One that is undetectable and aggressive in the ovaries.

This was the reasoning for the long road to some kind of answers- None of us were expecting her results to come back for breast cancer.

Laura has had a couple surgery’s already and they are planing to do another procedure in the near future. Laura & her oncologists have her on a chemo medication in a pill form. There are many side affects of the medication, but as of right now she is doing great. But this is something they want her to be on perpetually & it is definitely not an easy time for her because it makes her feel weak, tired & fogged down.

We are very hopeful & Every day is one day at a time.

With all of this happening so sudden and unexpected, it has taken a large toll on her financially. They say in times of hardship to reach out to loved ones..well here I am. I want to do this for her because being a single parent with no income in this Present day is hard enough.

I have to say though, with all of this going on & all the years of being her sister and the 5 years of working together, Laura still amazes me.

You wouldn’t even know she has all of this going on medically plus more behind her sweet smile. She probably wouldn’t even talk about her. It would be a conversation of either yourself and how your doing or boasting about her kids.

With that being said I just want to personally Thank you for taking the time to read & share.

“Dear Lord, please bless her with Your peace. Give her strength to hand over the worries, cares, and loneliness. Take the pain and squelch the doubt. Remind her You are her God: the Great I AM. Nothing is impossible with You. And You do turn all things for good. Be with her tonight and grant her sweet, safe, sound sleep. Thank You for Your presence. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”
