Tough Mudder for Leah’s Little Sunflowers – In Loving Memory of Leah Smith

William, Rickie, Ste, John and James are taking on a Tough Mudder in memory of Leah Smith — a bright, brave, and beautiful young woman who sadly passed away last year at just 22 years old after an incredibly courageous battle with Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer.

Leah was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, loved, and uplifted. Even through the hardest days of her illness, she radiated warmth, humour, and fierce determination. She had a heart of gold and never stopped thinking of others — even in her toughest moments.

To honour her legacy and continue the kindness she showed to the world, Leah’s mum and brother have created Leah’s Little Sunflowers — a charity dedicated to providing respite and memory-making opportunities for families affected by cancer.

The Mission:

Leah’s Little Sunflowers is raising funds to buy a caravan retreat, offering families facing childhood and young adult cancer a peaceful place to spend quality time together, make lasting memories, and simply breathe amidst the chaos of treatment and hospital visits. It’s a project built from love, grief, and the desire to spread hope — exactly what Leah would have wanted.

Our Challenge:

We’re tackling the Tough Mudder — mud, sweat, bruises and all — to raise as much as we can for this incredible cause. Every mile we run and every obstacle we overcome is for Leah, and for the families this caravan will support.
