Support For Di During Her Breast Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Rachel and I am devastated to announce that my dear friend Di has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

For those of you who know Di, you will know that she is an amazing mum to her 5 beautiful kids, ages 17, 15, 11, 9 & 4 and a wife to her wonderful husband Andrew.

Life hasn’t been easy for these guys in recent years.. their son Casey, who is 11, has autism and an intellectual disability, so everyday life for this family is harder than most of us could ever imagine.

Di has had some health issues over the last few years following a simple dental procedure and as many of you will know, being unwell does come at a cost, meaning all of their savings are now gone.

This latest blow for Di and her family has come as a shock, as Di had a lump checked under ultrasound in late 2023 and was told it was nothing to worry about. Sadly they were wrong and now Di has no choice but to go undergo a mastectomy and all the necessary treatments to beat this thing.

Living rural will mean countless trips to Perth for surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation for Di and Andrew. If we can get together and raise some much needed funds to help go towards the cost of the surgery, scans, travel and ongoing treatment, it would help lighten the load of this very distressing situation just a bit.

Looking forward, I have no doubt that this family will come out the other side of this latest hurdle and if we can help them in some small way, I know it would mean the world to these guys.
