Running for my Dad

Hi friends,

This July 11th, I’ll be running 100 kilometres through the mountains—across 7,500 metres of elevation gain and loss. It’s going to take around 30 hours, and to be honest, I’ve never done anything like it before.

The furthest I’ve ever gone is 50 kilometres with 2,500 metres of elevation and I found that bloody hard.

This is triple the height, triple the duration and whole new level of challenge.

And I’m doing it for my dad.

He’s 77 and currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 prostate cancer. It came out of nowhere and turned his life upside down. But even now, he’s determined to keep going and keep giving—he’s planning to cycle 60 kilometres this autumn as a fundraiser himself.

He’s always been an inspiration to me: always one to grab life by the balls. So I’ll be running for him. Every step, every climb, every painful moment.

If you can spare a few quid, it would mean the world. It’ll help keep me going when it gets tough out there—and most importantly, it’ll show my dad how much support is behind him.

Thank you so much.
