Help Kanisha and Baby Amaya Make Lasting Memories

Hi, my name is Dean, and I’m fundraising for my beautiful granddaughter Amaya, her courageous mother Kanisha, and her devoted father Mason.
Kanisha is just 24 years old and has been heartbreakingly diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has now spread to her liver and is incurable. Despite being so young, her life is being cruelly cut short. She now faces the unimaginable — preparing to say goodbye to her two-year-old daughter, Amaya.
Amaya will grow up without her mummy by her side through her childhood, teenage years, and adult life. The pain of this loss is unimaginable for our family.
Tragically, Kanisha’s cancer was initially misdiagnosed by the hospital as a non-cancerous mass, causing a delay in proper treatment and reducing her chances of survival.
This fundraiser has two heartfelt aims:
- To give Kanisha and Amaya time to make beautiful, lasting memories — days out, keepsakes, photo sessions, and moments of peace and joy while they still have time together.
- To support Amaya’s future and ease the burden on her daddy, Mason, who will be raising her alone. Mason is already making huge sacrifices, stepping back from work to care for Amaya full-time, while also preparing to navigate fatherhood without the woman he loves by his side.
Mason is doing everything he can to ensure Amaya feels loved, supported, and secure — just as Kanisha would have wanted. But this journey is emotionally and financially overwhelming, and they need help.
Our starting goal is £2,000, but we hope, with your support, we can exceed that — to give this young family the time, dignity, and support they need during this devastating chapter.
