The Boesems have fostered over 150 kids and adopted 12. Many of their kids have Fetal Alchohol Spectrum Disorder. They have devoted their entire lives to these children; making sure they have a safe and loving home, along with the intense care they need to thrive.
Currently, the family van is too small and not usable and they are seeking a small bus to purchase for their foster program. The bus will be used in foster care of the children on the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, many because of the alcohol sold in Whiteclay Nebraska to PineRidge residents.
According to Nora "We want to be able to take kids to the zoo this summer and we are saving for a fun trip. Our big van is dead and won't lift Kayleigh's new chair"
In 2001, the Bosems decided to become foster parents. They have since adopted many children from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Whiteclay, Nebraska sells millions of dollars of beer which is carried across the border to Pine Ridge Reservation. Many children there are born with serious health issues due to the alcohol abuse. Nora and her husband adopted Ariana along with 11 other kids. By age 5 Ariana had several surgeries and over 22 hospitalizations. Arianna was a victim to her mother's alcoholism fueled by beer sales in Whiteclay. In fact, Adriana's first breath was on a dusty back alley there. Please watch and share.
