Lorelei

Hi, my name is Cassandra Black and Tyrell Black. this is our daughter Lorelei Black. Lorelei is a 26 weeker (and 5 days) premature baby, she was born 8/11/21. Early Morning on October 26th (2022) she was put on a ventilator and transported to Cardinal Glennon children’s hospital in St Louis Missouri. Spent 10 days in the hospital with Covid and rhinovirus back to back, she also had surgery to clear her airway. She came home November 4th and had on and off fevers until she was readmitted for a staph infection on the 10th, spent another 8 days in the hospital on antibiotics and was sent home on antibiotics on the 17th treatments every 6 hours via a picc line until they removed it on the 28th. She had a WEEK of freedom. The night of December 6th she started having cold symptoms, so we had her checked on the 7th and she was diagnosed with RSV. The night of December 8th she was working hard to breathe and terrible cough, so we took her into the ER and she was put on a ventilator and transported back to the Children’s hospital where we are currently. I have been out of work with no income , dad has to commute 2 hours from home to the hospital to work. With all the normal bills and gas and food and endless hospital bills, we are reaching out for help. This little girl has been through so much.
