Hi, we are The Wilderz Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and we are friends and colleagues of Rudy. When we discovered what had happened to Rudy, we knew we had to help.

On July 30th, Rudy was medivaced to Daneville Hospital with a life-threatening infection in his leg, which ended in an amputation below the knee the next day. Rudy is a single father of 3, the youngest of which has down syndrome. Rudy founded The Venom Institute, a reptile and amphibian Rescue/Educational institute. He travels throughout Pennsylvania, lecturing on native PA reptiles, amphibians, and exotics of these species. He is a well-respected wildlife educator and rescuer. Unfortunately, this tragic occurrence has put Rudy under severe financial strain. He has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him and needs all the support he can get.
