Your help is desperately needed.

We are a collective of three schools, five churches, and citizens of the Twin Cities Metro area trying to help our neighbors avoid hardship and showing them tangible love.

Our collective Twin Cities communities are supporting 300+ families (with growing requests) who have lost income because they are unable to work in this singularly difficult moment in MN. We have collected a list of families through word of mouth and personal connections making sure people have wrap-around care for things such as groceries, medical care and household items. Now we are working to make sure people can stay out of the cold by providing rent relief through this one-to-one grassroots effort.

We have group leaders who are overseeing volunteer hosts who meet with the families to determine their specific needs. Up to this point these volunteers have been using their own network to meet needs such as hygiene items, food, and utilities.

But now time is running out for people to pay their February rent and it is beyond the capacity of our host network to provide. We need the broader community outside of Minneapolis to step in to alleviate fear of eviction during this coldest month. On average, $1500 will pay rent for one household for one month.

All donated funds will be overseen by myself (Matt), and with the help of our group leaders, distributed (through paper checks and Zelle) to the trusted hosts who are in relationship with and will get the rent funds to the recipient families. Rent support will be logged and tracked in a database for accountability. Please consider helping us as you are able and passing this link on to those who will join us.

We hope you will help us fill this short-term gap while we wait for larger organizations, who are backlogged and unsuited for quick action, to meet these needs.

We are telling these families to "hold on...help is coming from outside."
