Help Summer & Her Kids Through This Difficult Time

Summer is a strong single mother of two — a 15-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. She is a breast cancer survivor who is still fighting her battle with cancer, all while working hard to provide a safe and stable life for her children.

During her chemotherapy treatments, Summer endured unimaginable loss — her mother, grandmother, and uncle all passed away within just six weeks. Even through her grief, she continued pushing forward to keep food on the table and a roof over her children’s heads.

Today, Summer is still struggling. Recently, her dryer caught fire, destroying nearly all of her clothing and some of her kids’ school clothes. On top of that, her air conditioning unit in her mobile home no longer works, leaving her children to come home each day to a hot house in the Florida heat.

Without health insurance, Summer cannot afford the cancer and thyroid treatments she desperately needs. She also cannot afford a new stackable washer and dryer, replacement clothes, or the repairs to her AC unit.

Summer has always been a fighter, but right now she needs a community to fight alongside her. Any help — whether it’s financial support, clothing, appliances, or assistance repairing her AC — would make a world of difference for Summer and her children.
