In January this year we went for our gender scan to find out the sex of our baby.. To be told the awful words 'there is no heartbeat' .. I was 17 weeks pregnant and to say this was heart breaking is an understatement.. As a family we hit rock bottom.. We named our Baby Girl Mia... planning the funeral of your child is not something a mother or father should have to do xx
If it wasnt for the love and support of the Princess Anne Hosotial to help get us through this very dark time I dont know what we would of done.
I wanted to plan a big fundraising event this year to raise money for the Princess Anne Hosptial to raise money for vital equipment, memory boxes, funeral costs ect.. However this has had to be cancelled due to covid-19.
So at the beginning on June I decided I wanted to raise £100 just to give something back.. Then my step-dad and his cousin grew their Hair and Beards during lock down and announced they wanted to do a brave the shave to raise more money for Princess Anne and also the NHS..
I was overwhelmed by the love and support...
The one that hit me the most.. my 13 year son came to support his grandad doing the brave the shave.. and half way through announced he wanted to also shave his head and raise extra money for the Princess Anne Hospital in honour of his baby sister Mia.. I cried like a baby.. it didnt matter to him what he looked like after, he was adamant he wanted to do it.. and managed to raise an impressive £275 in 10 minutes. I would love it if we could get his total higher xxx
I would love to raise even more for this fantastic hospital to help more families like us..
So If you can please help .. we would be forever grateful xxx
