Hello, my name is Danny. My amazing wife has had her life turned upside down after a simple knee surgery in August 2020 revealed she has a rare medical condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a painful and debilitating disease. Her case is so severe that it has affected the nerves in her upper leg, causing muscle paralysis, which has left her unable to walk or get around without crutches.
Natalie has been battling CRPS for just over a year now. Before her surgery, Natalie was extremely active and loved to play ice hockey as well as rock climb, hike, trek, and paddle boarding. Natalie is a loving daughter, sister, and wife, and she is an adoring aunt to her six-year-old niece. She is also a Registered Nurse, a career she loves as she is very passionate about helping others. Unfortunately, now she is unable to work or do any of the activities she loves to do due to the constant pain and disabling effects of CRPS. Even everyday tasks are a painful fight now.
Natalie has spent the last year trying every therapy available to combat CRPS, but unfortunately nothing has made a difference in her pain and function, and we have struggled to maintain hope. However, we have found a treatment that has good success in putting CRPS into permanent remission, a therapy consisting of Intravenous Neridronate medication. Unfortunately, this treatment is only available in Italy and is extremely expensive. We spoke to the CRPS team in Italy, and they said that they have been able to put CRPS into 100% remission if the person is treated within one and a half years of having CRPS. Natalie has been fighting CRPS for 1 year and 2 months, and so the doctors in Italy are urging her to get this treatment done as soon as possible for it to successfully put this horrible disease into remission and get Natalie her life back!
