Hi I’m Aideen
I am taking part in the Women's Mini Marathon on the 3rd of June 2018 along with a great bunch of ladies. Our aim is to raise money for Féileacáin (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland). Féileacáin is a none profit charity that helps parents and family after the loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby through stillbirth or neonatal death. They have been there for myself and my family through the loss of our son Seàn in February 2018. Seàn was born with underdeveloped lungs at 26 weeks caused by Proms (waters breaking prematurely).He held on bravely for 2 whole days.
From that moment onwards, our lives were forever changed. Féileacáin has been there for John and me every step of this journey. They have helped us so much during this, the most difficult time of our lives and continue to do so.
Our aim is to raise enough money to sponsor a Cuddle Cot in Seàn’s name to Féileacáin. They cost €2,500 each. If this target is reached, any additional money with go towards funding memory boxes and the other valuable services provided by Féileacáin. We want to help the many other families who unfortunately end up on this horrible journey so any donations, no matter how big or small that you can make, will be greatly appreciated.
