Officer Benito Chavez was shot in the line of duty on March 19th, 2019. He is currently recovering at Harborview Medical Center. Officer Chavez is dedicated to serving his community, not just as a police officer but also as a Corporal in the Washington National Guard. Officer Chavez is married with their first child on the way. He and his wife have a long road ahead of them.
