Hello there!
For the past 2 years in Uyo a small town located in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, She Is Sheep Educational Association for Africa (SISA), has organised a free residential summer camp for teenage girls from underserved communities within the entire state. The aim of the summer camp is simple - to provide a safe space and fun learning environment during the summer holidays where girls can experience alternative out-of-classroom education that focuses on holistic development. That is educating the mind, body and soul.

Volunteers join handstogether to see that all these girls reached from a variety of public secondary schools are brought together to experience sisterhood, to be loved, seen and heard. The camp experience is for 2 wweeks and offers education in
  • Computer Literacy,
  • Feminine Health & Hygiene,
  • English & Communication,
  • Financial Literacy
  • Climate Action Awareness
  • Etiquette
  • Bible Classes
  • Vocational Skills e.g Hair Styling, Shoe Making etc.
Every single child is catered for and provided with adequate stationary including books, journals, writing materials etc. Every girl is fed 3 times a day with healthy balanced meals including snacks and fruits. They are provided with quality healthcare and supervision by well trained and equipped volunteers.

This year we have raised the bar by aiming to reach 70 girls - double the number of our attendees last year and this would not be possible without your help. A lot of our attendees have never been provided with a learning experience that shows genuine care in their well being and development and through this camp we aim to show them that we are still in a world where truly, people care.

Your donations will provide the following:
  • 12 laptops for our computer literacy class
  • A beautiful camp ambience
  • 3 healthy meals daily for 13 days
  • Stationary for 70 girls
  • T shirts and branded canvas tote bags
  • Stipends for all 30 personnel
  • Materials used in vocational skills
  • Mosquito nets and bedding for all girls
  • 70 dinner gowns for all girls
  • 95 feminine Hygiene Packs for both girls and female personnel
  • Vocational Skills Scholarships to 15 outstanding girls.
  • Post-camp safeguarding home visitations
All these and so much more will be done for every child in our care.
The Summer Camp known as the Summer Graze is aimed at commencing on the 16th of August and ends on the 30th of August. SO, let's join our hands to make this summer holiday a memorable one for 70 Nigerian girls.
