Love for Loretta

Hi. My friend Loretta's life-and-business partner of 12 years passed away this week. May he rest in peace. They shared a home and business.

Loretta has a chronic autoimmune disease that has prevented her from working since Covid began. Most recently, one of her lungs collapsed during a CT Scan.

Loretta is known to many as the beloved, bad-ass bartender at Colington Pizza, Sinead's mom, and Gregory’s better half. She is my dear friend and the first friend I made when I moved to the Outer Banks. (My dad and I stopped at the pizza restaurant, and I fell in love with the place and her.)

Because of her health problems, she hasn’t been able to work at Colington Pizza—her second home--a “Best of the Beach” yummy pizza joint and watering hole where locals gathered—watching football and basketball, chit-chatting with neighbors. Loretta was the centerpiece in the small dining room.

Because her home of twelve years and Colington Pizza are not in her name, she’s losing both. She’s lost so much: the man she’s been sharing her life with, the man she loved.

Please help her pay for moving and living expenses, health insurance, and to start over again. Again.
